Program description

The BA (Hons) Cordwainers Footwear course is delivered at the London College of Fashion and is explicitly designed to prepare students for employment in the global footwear industry. Taught by notable industry professionals, it equips students with the creative, practical, communication, and business skills essential for contemporary design practice.

The course focuses on producing innovative graduates who can make a visionary contribution to product development, engaging with forward-thinking debates on climate justice, social justice, and technology. Students often undertake live industry projects, presenting their work directly to companies. The programme enjoys historic support from the Cordwainers and Leathersellers livery companies through prizes, scholarships, and industrial visits.
