Program description
The BA Fashion Design programme at Central Saint Martins is a world-leading course, globally renowned for fostering innovators and critical thinkers. It offers five pathways—Womenswear, Menswear, Knit, Print, and Communication—with a strong emphasis on collaboration and a progressive, non-gendered approach to design.
The Print pathway, integral to fashion design, trains students to be creative fashion print designers with a deep understanding of garment construction and body proportions. Students master both analogue and digital print techniques, exploring sustainable production methods and the intersection of fashion, textiles, and art.
The course is taught by a diverse team of internationally connected practitioners, ensuring education is at the industry's forefront. Core to the programme's ethos is a commitment to shaping a sustainable and equitable future for fashion, with social, racial, and climate justice as its fundamental values. The curriculum actively promotes decolonisation, inclusivity, and ethical practice, reflecting the diversity of its global community.
