Program description

The MA Fashion programme at Central Saint Martins is globally recognised for preparing students to practice professionally at the forefront of the industry, while also serving as a leading incubator of emerging design talent and a pathway to research degrees and academia.

The course fosters a pluriversal learning community that brings together diverse social and cultural identities, emphasizing authenticity, accountability, and sustainable practices such as upcycling. Tuition fee:

  • 27,720 GBP for year 1; 16,630 GBP for year 2*

*Tuition fees may increase in future years for new and continuing students on courses lasting more than one year. For this course, you can pay tuition fees in instalments.

Requirements for applicants

The standard entry requirements for this course are as follows:

  • A first or upper second-class honours degree in Fashion Design, Knitwear or Printed Textiles with a strong fashion bias Or An equivalent EU / international qualification.

Exceptionally applicants who do not meet these course entry requirements may still be considered.

The course team will consider each application that demonstrates additional strengths and alternative evidence. This might, for example, be demonstrated by:

  • Related academic or work experience
  • The quality of the personal statement
  • A strong academic or other professional reference
  • Or a combination of these factors.

Each application will be considered on its own merit but we cannot guarantee an offer in each case.

English language requirements

  • IELTS level 6.5 or above, with at least 5.5 in reading, writing, listening and speaking
