Program description
The MA Journalism: Arts and Lifestyle Journalism at London College of Communication is a practice-based, multi-platform course focused on covering creative and popular culture. Students develop solid industry skills to tell stories about art, fashion, food, music, and societal change, guided by experienced professional tutors. While specializing in their pathway, they collaborate with peers on the multi-platform 'Artefact' brand, which includes a magazine, website, and social channels. The program culminates in a substantial individual portfolio of journalism in a chosen medium, building practical skills and employability for the contemporary media landscape.

Requirements for applicants
- In order to be considered, you would have achieved an Honours degree (preferably a 2:1),
- or equivalent professional qualifications with a minimum of three years relevant professional experience.
Applicants who do not meet these course entry requirements may still be considered in exceptional cases.
The course team will consider each application that demonstrates additional strengths and alternative evidence. This might, for example, be demonstrated by:
- Related academic or work experience
- The quality of the personal statement
- A strong academic or other professional reference
- OR a combination of these factors
Language requirements
- IELTS 7.0 (or equivalent) is required, with 6.0 in each of the four skills.
