Program description

The MA Sound Arts programme at London College of Communication is an intensive, specialised course designed to deepen your conceptual and contextual understanding of sound practice, combining a strong taught component with extensive practical opportunities. You will extend your portfolio, engage in theoretical and practical research, and develop creative and critical skills under the guidance of active practitioner‑researchers specialising in field recording, composition, installation, and cross‑platform work.

The course encourages a personal, distinctive approach, fosters collaboration with students across disciplines, and is closely connected to the Creative Research into Sound Arts Practice (CRiSAP) centre. It prepares you for a professional career as a sound artist or researcher, supported by an extensive visiting artist programme and the opportunity to work with a professional curator for your Final Major Project.
