Program description
Future behaviorists, conscientious breeders, trainers, employees of shelters or horse studs, and anyone else who loves animals and wants to turn their passion into a valuable professional qualification can study a practical profile on the course Animal behavior and psychology at the University of Economics and Human Sciences in Warsaw. You've just discovered your path if you picture yourself in a position like that!
The study program integrates knowledge from the fields of zoology and ethology (the science of behavior) of domesticated animals, such as dogs, cats, horses, rats, or birds, with knowledge from psychology, primarily cognitive and behavioral psychology. Gaining practical skills is an essential component of education, therefore starting in the second semester, you will take lessons that create a workshop for handling animals.
If you choose to specialize in animal raising and training, you will be able to address issues such as pet behavior problems, the practicalities of operating an animal care and training business, and methods for training dogs and horses.
