Program description
Family studies are mostly a choice for highly sensitive individuals who wish to use their understanding of psychology and related fields to support and assist underprivileged families. This is a special curriculum that focuses on family studies in psychology and other social sciences. By selecting this course of study, you will interact with families and learn about intricate diagnostic techniques. By adjusting it to the unique issues that families face, you will discover how to offer assistance that works effectively.
The student can select from two extension modules in the curriculum: Family Foster Care Coordinator or Family Assistant. These modules include designed courses that enable a thorough program adaptation to student expectations. You will have the ability to guide the aided family toward the correct course, regardless of the type of issues they are facing. You will be prepared to work as a counselor, teacher, or therapist after graduation, applying your skills to help people learn how to handle problems on their own.
