Corporate social responsibility (CSR), environmental performance, and corporate governance (Governance) are the three areas in which an organization's performance is systematically analyzed and evaluated. This process is known as ESG auditing. An ESG audit determines how closely a company's operations adhere to sustainability norms and analyzes the effects these activities have on a range of stakeholders, such as the planet and its ecosystems, investors, local customers, and employees. It evaluates the risks associated with ESG variables for an organization as well. The largest corporations are already required by EU law to report on their ESG operations in a non-financial manner starting in 2024. Thus, sustainability is no longer merely a fad but rather a factor that shapes contemporary, ethical company.
