Program description
This master's program combines art and business.
Its purpose is to create individuals willing to tackle complex problems in a quickly changing world and able to apply creative, business, and technological abilities.
This is done through high-intensity project activities in close coordination with established leaders in the sector and real enterprises facing these difficulties.
Innovative businesses must encourage experimentation and adaptation, says Forrester Research (2021). Today's tech-driven job market values interdisciplinarity, creativity, and creative problem solving.

Fee for two semesters (1 year) is 10938,00 euro for international students
The tuition fee includes:
- Advanced teaching by faculty with real-world experience
- Personal career planning support from our Career Center colleagues
- Enrollment fee, examination fee, bachelor's or master's thesis fee
- State-of-the-art equipment in the teaching rooms and the technology lending facility (Arsenal)
- Free German or English language courses for enrolled students
- The possibility to individually choose modules from other programs as part of your curriculum
- Access to the Job Teaser online platform, through which UE connects you with practice partners and regional companies
- Use of the UE campus including library, cafeteria, WLAN and other services
Also once you are accepted as a student, you will be asked to pay a reservation fee of € 3,000. The reservation fee is a one-time payment that will sercure your spot and that will be deducted from the total cost of the programme, before you are invoiced for tuition.
For example: If your total programme costs 30,000 € and the reservation fee is paid (3,000 €), you would only be invoiced for the remaining 27,000 € in tuition once you start studying.
Requirements for applicants
Admission to a Master's Degree program in Innovation Design Management
The following requirements apply for the start of a Master's degree:
- High school/ bachelor diploma and transcript undergraduate degree (Bachelor, MBA or Master) officially translated to English or German;
- Portfolio - Up to 10 examples of your best creative work. The Innovation Design Management programme accepts applicants from a wide variety of fields, but is most suited to those who already have a digital design background;
- Motivation letter (min. 500 words)
