Program description
Modern mediation and communication tools and practices are changing how we conceive about our identities, relationships, and communities, from language to screen and emoji to social networks. This major combines theoretical knowledge with practical communication and digital media skills to help you become a successful communicator.
Your training will cover everything from recording, editing, and designing to the economic and ethical considerations that underpin digital media production. We teach students how to express complex ideas in various media forms while working collaboratively, not just how to ‘do’ media and communication work.
This major is for you if you are fascinated by how communication and media work in society, passionate about debating media topics and issues, see media and communication as central to good citizenship, and love the idea of combining your interests with other Bachelor of Arts or Commerce options.
We teach you to manage projects, collaborate, and solve complicated challenges through a variety of practical exercises. Presentation and writing abilities are also taught.
