Program description

Solving the problem of internal order and being able to protect oneself from external threats are the only ways for societies to continue existing. Research in the fields of politics and international relations focuses on the decision-making processes and collective policies that societies employ for self-governance. The various forms of government are discussed, along with the principles that shape public policy and political institutions, including freedom, participation, majority rule, and minority rights. Various ideologies, including conservatism, liberalism, socialism, feminism, and environmentalism, have inspired political action in contemporary societies. As the world becomes more interconnected, scholars are also interested in studying the relationships between nations and their citizens, as well as between nations and regional or international political organizations and social movements.
