Program description
Numerous fields within the health and medical sciences are covered under the Integrated Dental Sciences extended major. All of the biomedical science fields—anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, haematology, microbiology, pathology, pharmacology, and public health—will be covered in the background information that students will acquire. These fields will be combined into level 3 units, which will focus on the fundamental clinical conditions and presentations and deliver scientific, clinical, and professional content in a longitudinal fashion. Throughout the major, health professional research and communication abilities will be covered. Aspects of Australian society and culture, such as Aboriginal health and the health of migrants and refugees, will be studied as part of the major. Additionally, students will begin their pre-clinical dental education.Program structure
