Program description
Over the previous 20 years, ‘big data’ exploded. Businesses can obtain customer, supply chain, and logistical data. Accessing this enormous data set is different from using it to make informed business decisions. Employers want quantitative workers to collect, organize, and evaluate data.
Computer programming (particularly Python) and statistics provide these skills. This knowledge will include how and when to use data for commercial and economic insights and how to use statistical tools you may need in your future career. The job market values specialized expertise.
This Business Analytics degree emphasizes communication and interpersonal skills to help you present data analysis results to relevant parties, enhancing your employability. You must clearly and concisely convey complex information. Particularly for stakeholders who don't speak your 'analytics language'
Using these talents in real life is the final key to this major. A semester-long company development or economic research project or internship is the final year ‘capstone experience’ that allows you apply your key abilities. The practical project will make you graduate ‘job-ready’ and improve your employability.
