Program description
Students in this major learn about the responsiveness and future-planning capabilities of various ecosystems. To accomplish this, one must have an in-depth understanding of environmental planning and design concepts and their versatile applications. Students will learn the fundamentals of the subject, including how to gather and analyze data, plan spatially, evaluate land use, and create landscapes.
Opportunities for domestic field trips, including overnight ones, may arise throughout the major. Plus, interesting international fieldwork units are available to students; previous locations have included Bali, Barcelona, and Seattle. Graduate programs in landscape architecture, urban design, urban and regional planning, and environmental planning are all accessible to students with this major. Jobs in the public and commercial sectors as well as non-profits and private companies are all within the realm of possibility for graduates of this degree, both in Australia and around the world.
