Program description

The scientific study of plants, including their intricate cell functions, vital roles in ecosystems, and structure and function, is known as botany. Botanists actively contribute to reducing the loss of biodiversity by researching how plants change and adapt to shifting surroundings and climates. If you are passionate about Western Australia's distinctive native flora or agricultural crops and want to address present and future risks to plant protection and sustainability, botany is a great major choice. There will be up to three overnight field trips in this major, and students are responsible for covering their own expenses (up to $500 for food and lodging for about ten nights).
