Program description

Construction experts created UWA's Master of Building Information Modelling (MBIM) programme for the upcoming generation of professionals. The training expands your expertise to include useful and potent uses of data-rich, digitally-based building information models.

The MBIM will help you change the construction sector in Western Australia and beyond by fostering your ability to develop creative solutions for our technical, economic, and constructed futures. You will study the software that powers important infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, and water systems, as an MBIM student.

  • Tuition fee — 45,200 AUD per course.

Requirements for applicants

To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have

  • a Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA;
  • the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 50 per cent;
  • at least two years professional experience in a relevant occupation;
  • successfully completed prior study in a field relevant to Building Information Modelling. OR
  • a UWA graduate diploma which articulates with this course; and the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 60 per cent.

English competency

  • Minimum overall IELTS score of 6.5, with no band less than 6.0.
