Program description

Your ability to lead information systems strategies, manage supply chains, assess enterprise systems requirements, analyze organizational data for business intelligence, oversee IT infrastructure projects, and implement emerging technologies throughout the organization will all be enhanced by the Master of Business Information and Logistics Management.

A major focus of the course is developing your ability to work with IT teams to improve operations. For example, in the Enterprise Information Systems unit, you will learn to:

  • Identify and analyse business information requirements related to enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
  • Conduct a feasibility analysis for ERP acquisition and make a justified recommendation
  • Efficiently navigate and access information in an ERP system
  • Liaise with vendors and software specialists in configuring and customising ERP systems
  • Assess the potential impacts of ERP implementations

Students who have not completed the Bachelor of Commerce, or equivalent as recognised by the Faculty, may be required to complete relevant conversion units up to the value of 24 points, as advised by the Faculty.

Requirements for applicants

  • To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have
  • a Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA; and either:
  • the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 50 per cent; or
  • at least two years professional experience in a relevant occupation; or
  • completed a Graduate Certificate in Business Information and Logistics Management or Graduate Certificate in Commerce at UWA.

English competency

  • Minimum overall IELTS score of 6.5, with no band less than 6.0.
