Program description

You can pursue advanced forensic anthropology coursework and gain a thorough understanding of the human skeleton with the Master of Forensic Anthropology. In addition to exploring a variety of anthropological approaches using both traditional and digital modalities, you will get a practical grasp of the function of the scientist within the Australian judicial system.

Interdisciplinary research is supported in forensic anthropology, which encompasses a wide range of study from morphometrics to computer-graphic facial reconstruction.

A foundation in forensic science ethics and research techniques is given to you, along with pertinent theory and methodology that apply to forensic anthropology and the associated fields of archaeology and odontology, as well as the analytical and practical abilities required to testify as an expert in court.

In addition to getting practical experience in an independent scientific study through the completion of a dissertation and data-based research projects directly related to forensic anthropology, you will be able to specialize in a particular area of interest after successfully completing eight coursework units.
