Program description

A range of subjects, including development economics, environmental sciences, food and agriculture, governance and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), public health, and law and policy, will be covered in a combination of core and elective courses.

Western Australia's regional development is a major focus of the Master of International Development program, which exposes you to the country's development issues, notably those affecting its remote Indigenous communities.

There are two options for the Master of International Development degree: "Coursework only" and "Coursework and Dissertation." If you decide to pursue the dissertation, you will collaborate with one of UWA's top experts in the globe to do research on a chosen specialty.

Requirements for applicants

To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have—a relevant Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA.

English competency

  • Minimum overall IELTS score of 6.5, with no band less than 6.0.
