Program description
The goal of marketing is to attract and retain customers by identifying, articulating, and maintaining the competitive edge that enables a business to achieve real success. Advertising, business strategy, competitive analysis, and value creation are among the subjects that are studied in marketing.
UWA marketing students get the chance to work on projects for actual businesses, and they have already done so with Coles, Google, Microsoft, Rio Tinto, Tourism WA, Transperth, and Westpac.
This course is appropriate for both full-time students and busy professionals because it offers both day and evening classes.

Students who have not completed the Bachelor of Commerce, or equivalent as recognised by the School, may be required to complete relevant conversion units up to the value of 24 points, as advised by the School:

Requirements for applicants
To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have
- a Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA; and either:
- the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 50 per cent; or
- at least two years professional experience in a relevant occupation; or
- completed a Graduate Certificate in Commerce or Graduate Certificate in Marketing at UWA.
English competency
- Minimum overall IELTS score of 6.5, with no band less than 6.0.
