Program description
Information security is becoming an increasingly significant part of information technology, and it has been highlighted as a global strategic priority in order to fulfill the demands of law enforcement, national and state governments, as well as the defense, security, and financial industries.
With the advent of the Internet of Things (IoT), both the public and private sectors confront new risks, vulnerabilities, hacking tactics, and agents. This major will prepare graduates to design secure computers and computer networks, safeguard data saved and sent from unauthorized access, and battle digital security risks and hazards.
Cybersecurity is a global strategic objective, with the primary goal of protecting information and communication assets. A shifting threat environment has left organizations in all industries facing unmanageable levels of cyber threats. UOWD's Bachelor of Computer Science with a major in Cyber Security aims to provide qualified technical elements capable of meeting national, regional, and worldwide information and cyber security demands.
