Program description
The Master of Applied Finance - Financial Services is a comprehensive and advanced curriculum that provides students with in-depth knowledge of financial institutions, bank management, and lending. Work-integrated learning, ongoing collaboration with industry, and collaborative peer learning will provide participants with a conceptually sound and practical understanding of the global financial system. In addition, competing approaches to corporate governance and business ethics will be developed, as well as strategies for protecting against portfolio, financial, and corporate risk.
With a focus on the legal framework governing financial institutions, the complexities of a bank's lending process, bank management theory, and the securities linked with it, graduates will be well-prepared to confidently traverse the dynamic world of financial services. The program will also focus on developing conceptual and practical knowledge for a disruptive financial services sector, including fin-tech, sustainable financial management, and data-driven decision-making.

- Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field of study, or its equivalent with an overall GPA:
- 4 Point System: 3.0/4.0
- 5 Point System: 4.0/5.0
- 10 Point System: 7.0/10.0
- English language proficiency:
- IELTS (Academic) with a minimum overall score of 6.0 with 6.0 in Reading and Writing and 5.0 in Listening and Speaking
- TOEFL iBT with a minimum overall score of 79 with not less than 20 in Writing, 18 in Reading, 17 in Listening, 16 in Speaking
If you are seeking credit for prior learning, you will need to submit an official academic transcripts showing all courses studied and the grades obtained, syllabus details (including information on course content) for the courses you have successfully completed and an explanation of the grading system. Your eligibility for Credit for Prior Learning will be decided in consultation with UOWD's Faculty Offices prior to the beginning of the program.
