Program structure
Term 1:
Investigate the core ideas, important concepts, and procedures involved in developing high-quality games, online, and mobile applications.
Term 2:
Learn C++ for AAA game engines, object-oriented programming (OOP) methodologies, and how to create mobile apps for the Apple iPad and iPhone. Unity and Unreal Engine courses will help you develop your programming abilities in the two most popular game engines, as well as get you started in the iOS and Android programming environment.
Term 3:
Create your first team-based game while learning more about Unity, C++, and iOS technologies.
Term 4:
The majority of this semester is spent developing and preparing a large team-based project while continuing to learn game engines and mobile/web development.
Term 5:
Create a retail-quality game as your major portfolio item, ideally in collaboration with Game Design students, while also expanding your grasp of rendering and optimization.
Term 6:
Finish your final project and work on your programming portfolio. At our Pitch + Play event, you will have the opportunity to present your work to the game industry.
