Program description
Improve your English for the creative professions by studying about film, photography, animation, and game design. Develop critical language and communication skills to boost your English for the creative industries and help you advance your career in media arts. You will work on English coursework and create media art utilizing classic tools such as photography, video, and Photoshop.
Program structure
Term 1 - 8 weeks:
English for Arts Fundamentals 1 (114 hours)
This industry-focused English course focuses on enhancing students' language, fluency, and communication skills so that they can explain projects, propose ideas, and make presentations. Furthermore, students will learn to organize and convey their ideas by following directions for different layouts and assignments, as well as employing industry-specific jargon for cinema and media in the creative arts.
Creative Arts Fundamentals 1 (120 hours)
Students will learn how to apply basic visual design abilities and aesthetic concepts to photography, videography, and advertising assignments. The course also covers critical thinking, composition, and image-making processes in still and motion photography.
Core tasks include design and composition elements, lens-based media, motion pictures, and Photoshop.
Term 2 - 8 weeks:
English for Arts Fundamentals 2 (114 hours)
Students will continue to hone the language, fluency, and communication skills required to explain work, propose ideas, and give presentations. Furthermore, students will learn to organize and articulate their ideas while following directions for different layouts and assignments, as well as employing industry-specific creative arts jargon.
Creative Arts Fundamentals 2 (120 hours)
Students will continue to study how to apply core visual design abilities and aesthetic concepts to photography, videography, and advertising. The course also covers critical thinking, composition, and image-making processes in still and motion photography.
Core tasks include design and composition, lens-based media and motion pictures, Photoshop, game design, and animation.

Fees for international students: 6,650 CAD tuition and 200 CAD kit fee
