Program description
A BFA in art with a studio emphasis exposes students to a wide range of visual art traditions, methods, and materials for creative expression, and fundamental concepts that unify all art but allow for endless variation.
Art introduces them to new ways of seeing, finding, and discovering. BFA studio art students learn about a variety of materials' techniques and expressive potential. The program helps students express themselves visually.
BFA studio art students can specialize in one of the following areas. When pupils reach this stage, they become apprentices to their teachers.
This innovative educational structure allows students to gain expertise in a topic while boosting their creativity. They prepare for a successful arts career.

Other Program
- Students must complete a minimum of 9 credit hours of coursework in drawing including ART 1150 and six additional credit hours of drawing electives.
- Students must complete a minimum of 24 credit hours of coursework selected from the following studio areas, choosing one from each area: ceramics, fibers, graphic design, illustration, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, and time-based art. At least one course must be at the 3000 level or above.
- Students must complete 15 credit hours of coursework in a declared emphasis chose from among the following areas: ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, or time-based art.
- When the declared studio BFA area emphasis is drawing, it is necessary, due to total departmental requirements, to earn a minimum of 24 credit hours in that studio.

Fee for two semester (1 year education) is 30530.00 USD for international students.

Requirements for applicants
- An official high school transcript from the last high school attended or from a home school program. All transcripts issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by a certified English translation.
- Official transcripts from all college-level credit courses obtained while in high school.
- Webster University is a test-optional university.
- Portfolio.
Furthermore, the Office of Admission, when it deems necessary, reserves the right to request the following additional documents when considering a student for admission:
- A résumé of school and community activities, including offices held and awards received.
- One letter of recommendation.

Instead of submitting English Proficiency Scores from Duolingo, TOEFL, or IELTS, students can demonstrate English proficiency by:
- Successfully complete at least one academic year of high school or college-level coursework in English by a regionally accredited U.S. college or university (Note: ESL coursework does not apply to this exception) within the past two years.
- Successfully complete ELS Language Center's “English for Academic Purposes” or ELS Language Center “Level 112.” Students will need to show the Graduation Certificate for either of the classes.
- Successfully complete the University of Central Florida's Center for Multilingual Multicultural Studies (CMMS) Intensive English Program. Students will need to show the completion certificate.
