Program description
Many Bachelor of International Business Administration students are attracted by the prospect of doing business between their home country and nations in Europe or Asia, and this IBA specialism is designed for students who want to work in cross-border transactions, trade, and transportation.
Purchasing, materials management, inventory control, warehousing, transport, and distribution are all aspects of logistics and international trade. Logistics assists in the effective and efficient management of supply chains by integrating the flow of materials and goods from the initial acquisition of raw materials to the final delivery of a product to clients. Students in logistics and international trade will be introduced to the supply chain, both theoretically and practically.
As part of global environmental awareness and conservation, supply chain management is now concerned with the management of the return of items or packaging to producers. This is referred to as reverse logistics, and it is becoming increasingly important in business.
Program structure
The curriculum will provide graduates with a solid understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and general business, as well as the knowledge, abilities, and attitudes to contribute quickly to organisational goals at the entry level. Sales and export, supply chain management, procurement and production, process management, international labour relations, and international trade are among the modules available.
You will develop advanced problem-solving abilities throughout the IBA curriculum in Logistics & International Trade, which you will be able to employ in a variety of future prospective careers. Industry and the public sector are looking for logistics professionals with excellent analytic skills and the capacity to advance within the organisation into various managerial roles. This course is intended for international and domestic students who are interested in logistics, are proficient in mathematics, and want to advance their careers.
You will examine the processes of planning, implementing, and controlling the efficient and effective movements of commodities, services, and related information throughout supply chains in the logistics component. The management of these processes is critical in attaining customer service goals and is often regarded as critical to a company's competitive strategy.
You will study theories and practises in the economic and trade circumstances in the larger global environment within which these operate, as well as aspects of corporate communication, such as marketing and management in the international and multicultural context, in the international commerce component. Because we concentrate on the anglophone commerce and commercial world, we place a strong emphasis on the English language skills essential to operate in an international setting. You will also study about organisational interactions, the business environment, culture, and society.
