Program description
Students in the Department of Translation and Interpretation learn the professional skills needed to be successful in the field, including written and oral translation work, effective participation in national and international meetings, and the ability to translate scientific and literary documentation.
Graduates of this curriculum are given the title "Translator and Interpreter". This allows them to work in foreign trade institutions, a variety of state departments, publishing companies, translation agencies, legal offices, public notaries, foreign exchange offices in the banking sector, as well as the European Union, Foreign Affairs, National Education, Cultural Affairs, Tourism, and Foreign Affairs Ministries, as well as Foreign Mission offices. Other job opportunities include teaching English at the primary or secondary levels, as well as at university preparatory schools.

Requirements for applicants

- The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English/Turkish.
- Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.
- You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university.
- Quota for the department is 2 ppl and is applicable for all the applications around the world
