Program description
Nowadays, art and design practises have brought multiple disciplines together and have become a place where more contemporary and diverse expressions are used to form the framework of these disciplines' qualities. The goal of the programme, rather than the individual disciplines, is to bring "Art and Design" under one roof while also training artists who use other disciplines of art for the creation process while specialising in one of them, as well as training those artists to be able to create academic studies within that creation process using the relevant research methods.
The programme includes theoretical and practical studies in an interdisciplinary art and design setting, such as art and design, graphic design, animation, music, film design, and industrial design. The goal of this curriculum is to give a multi-focus education with an interdisciplinary approach.
To apply for Turkish programmes with dissertation, candidates must get at least 55 points on the YDS or equivalent language tests. Candidates for the same programme in English are expected to score at least 65 points on YDS or similar language tests. There is no language requirement for the programme without a dissertation.
Candidates must additionally finish four years of bachelor (undergraduate) study in the Art and Design Faculty, Fine Arts Faculty, Communication Faculty, or Conservatory and Education Faculty's Painting and Music Departments.
