Program description
The Graduate School of Social Sciences at Yaşar University provides an interdisciplinary M.A. programme in English Language and Literature. The programme, which is supplemented with electives, provides areas of study not only for English Language and Literature majors, but also for graduates of other social science fields such as "film studies," "media and public relations," and "international relations," provided that after passing the entrance exam, candidates complete some undergraduate courses within a year and choose their thesis topics from the related area.
Because of its multidisciplinary nature, the curriculum includes courses in English Language and Literature, American Culture and Literature, Cultural Studies, and Film Studies.

Tuition fee: 7,200 USD
For students who are accepted to their desired program, a non-refundable placement fee of 1000 USD will be charged to those who accept the program placement.
Requirements for applicants
- Undergraduate diploma (or higher)
- To be a graduate of any bachelor’s degree program.
- GRE: Min. 149 or
- GMAT: 450 or
- ALES: Min. 55 Any Type
- The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English/Turkish.
- Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.
Language requirements
- TOEFL IBT: Min. 96 or its equivalent
