Abertay University is a contemporary and welcoming institution located in the center of Dundee, Scotland, emphasizing education and equipping graduates for professional endeavors. Abertay, established in 1888, has always addressed industry demands by providing a continuous stream of graduate talent to work, lead, and develop across several industries.

Renowned as one of the leading technology colleges in the UK, we are distinguished for our proficiency in video game teaching, with our degrees in this discipline consistently ranking among the top in Europe for the last seven years. Our academic faculties provide degrees in several fields, including Mental Health Nursing, Civil Engineering, Business Analytics, and Ethical Hacking, equipping students for employment and, in many instances, facilitating real-world job experience concurrent with their studies.

Our campus

Abertay has a centralized campus located in the heart of Dundee. Our structures harmoniously integrate modernity with history, shown by the Edwardian Old College, which offers a glimpse into the past. The Kydd Building has specialized laboratories, including the Emergent Technology Centre, the National Centre for Excellence in Computer Games, and Scotland's only industry-standard food science consumer research laboratory.

Adjacent to the Kydd building is Annie's Cafe, the nucleus of the campus and an excellent venue for socializing, conversing, or working with free internet. Above is the cyberQuarter, a £18 million cybersecurity research and development center that collaborates with many industries to enhance cybersecurity awareness and provide cybersecurity solutions.

The award-winning and freshly renovated Bernard King Library serves as a central hub for students, including social areas and contemporary study and collaboration spaces.

Our Educational and Support Team

Many of the faculty members are actively engaged in research or work with industry in addition to their teaching duties. Every day, our students have the opportunity to learn from global leaders since all of our researchers are actively engaged in teaching and creating courses.

A significant milestone in your life is entering university, and we are here to help make the transition as easy as possible. From housing and money management to maintaining your health and organizing your workload, the university can provide guidance and assistance on all of these topics.

We provide a counseling service to assist you in resolving any issues, and each year we hire a group of students to serve as mentors for all newcomers. Through the elected student administration, the Students' Association also offers assistance and guidance. We have someone who can assist you with any query you may have.

Our Community of Students

Our students, who come from a wide range of origins and cultures, are the ones that make Abertay a warm and inviting place. Our classes draw students from all over the world, from local school dropouts to international research students, and our campus is home to more than 60 different nationalities.

We accept a large percentage of older students, and expanding access to higher education for students from underprivileged backgrounds is a top objective for the university, in which we are leaders in Scotland.
