About the university
Founded in 1993, the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) is the first international Australian institution in the UAE. It is a branch campus of the University of Wollongong, which has locations in Australia, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. The University of Wollongong Dubai (UOWD) provides over 40 globally accredited bachelor and master's degrees in ten in-demand industrial categories. We are the first globally authorized Australian university in the UAE, serving over 3,500 students from 108 different countries.
UOWD students can select from a variety of graduate and post-graduate degree programs in engineering, business, ICT, healthcare, communications, and media. Our academics are led by a highly qualified and globally experienced faculty, each of whom possesses a PhD and is recognized as a leader in their area. They are actively involved in research activities spanning 100 ground-breaking topics and have significant industry contacts.
Our 152,000 graduates worldwide are pursuing careers with well-known blue-chip firms and industry heavyweights including 3M, ADCB, Adidas, Amazon, Deloitte, Emirates, FedEx, GE, IBM, Microsoft, and Pepsico. Furthermore, data shows that 83% of recent graduates are hired within six months after graduation.

Campus
Our 200,000-square-foot campus in Dubai Knowledge Park is equipped with cutting-edge technology as well as a mix of traditional and new learning facilities, all housed in a vibrant modern atmosphere that promises to enhance the learning experience for all of our students. Dubai Knowledge Park, located in the heart of Dubai's commercial area and surrounded by some of the world's most well-known multinational corporations, is a perfect venue for knowledge transfer through academic-industry collaboration. Dubai Knowledge Park is adjacent to other industrial clusters, Dubai Internet City and Dubai Media City, the region's innovation, technology, and media hubs, and is home to over 2,700 registered companies, including regional and global news and technology giants such as IBM, Microsoft, Huawei, CNN, and many others.
UOWD's new campus has a modern architectural design that combines traditional and innovative learning spaces, as well as cutting-edge technology to facilitate the teaching of the university's best-in-class programs. The new campus is expected to provide an enriching educational experience that meets the needs of today's student population. The campus is equipped with cutting-edge technology and infrastructure to facilitate blended learning. The campus features specialized learning and conference rooms, small classrooms for up to 40 students, large classrooms for up to 80 students, an exhibition space, a recruiting lounge, a student lounge, an ultramodern auditorium, and a café - all under one roof. The facility also houses laboratories that specialize in chemistry, thermodynamics, manufacturing, physics, robotics, media and communications, cybersecurity, networking, and gaming, to mention a few.
Accreditation
The University provides globally recognized degrees that have been approved by the UAE Ministry of Education's Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) and licensed by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority. Furthermore, the degree is quality certified by the University of Wollongong, which is registered with the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA), Australia's national higher education authority.
