Oxford Brookes University
About the university
The history of Oxford Brookes University spans more than 150 years. We began as a modest School of Art in rented classrooms and have expanded into one of the UK's top modern universities with a reputation for distinction in teaching and research on the local, national, and worldwide levels.
We're a member of the University Alliance (UA), which encourages innovation in Britain. We promote academic excellence to build tomorrow's workforce.
Additionally, we are still committed to improving education. Our outstanding academics, who are gifted, supported in their professional growth, and innovative in their delivery, contribute to our high student satisfaction with teaching quality. This gives our motivated students a stimulating learning environment, opportunity to improve skills both inside and outside of the classroom, and extracurricular activities to pique their interest and sharpen their talents.
Inspirational Teaching
Our primary goal at Oxford Brookes is to provide a top-notch educational experience that helps each of our graduates to be competent, self-assured, and prosperous. The standard of instruction students receive is an integral component of this.
Numerous honors and prizes, including 11 National Teaching Fellowships for outstanding teaching, have been bestowed upon our lecturers. To make sure that students are aware of the most recent ideas, our professors also make use of their research skills.
Additionally, lecturers participate in creative programs that enhance their instruction.
In order to make sure that our offerings are current, accessible, and adaptable to their changing career aspirations, we collaborate with our students to improve curricula, teaching, and learning.
About Dorms
Each of our 4 campuses (Headington, Harcourt Hill, Swindon and Wheatley) has an own atmosphere and culture. You will have access to the greatest resources and first-rate learning environments, regardless of the subject you pick.
What's more, all of them are located a few miles away from Oxford city centre.
Student's Support and Wellbeing
Each academic area has dedicated student support coordinators who are excellent people to go to. They can help you with personal concerns as well as academic ones and can offer advise and direction.
We can help you with anything from registering with the GP and dentist to financial advise or expert support with study skills.
Oxford Brookes Partnership
Oxford Brookes works with a wide range of partners both domestically and internationally. Our connections are essential to improving our instruction, research, and information sharing. Additionally, they provide our students a wealth of placement, internship, and employment options.
Intership Options
Employers have a fantastic opportunity to fill skills gaps in their organization through apprenticeships. They offer a training framework for upskilling an existing employee or developing a new member of staff.
For workers, apprenticeships offer the chance to pick up new skills, study while they work, and put academic theory into practice right away. Some programs' instruction can help people advance their careers by earning new certifications.
In cooperation with our Associate College Partners as well as directly, Oxford Brookes offers a variety of higher education and degree apprenticeships (ACPs).
